Book Borrowers

Requirements:

To borrow books listed in the catalog, prospective borrowers must first be registered as members of Librario.

How to Borrow:
  1. Check the availability of the book to be borrowed in the Book Catalog.
  2. Submit a book borrowing request through the form provided in the registration confirmation email.
  3. Wait for confirmation from Librario's admin via our WhatsApp.
  4. Pick up the book at the Dropping Point - Spasso Cafe at the scheduled time. For first-time borrowers, please also submit a cash deposit of IDR 50,000.
  5. Confirm the book pickup via WhatsApp.
  6. Enjoy your reading.
Terms and Conditions:
  1. Borrowers may borrow a maximum of 2 books at a time.
  2. Each book may be borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks (14 days counted from the borrowing transaction date) and can be extended once (an additional 2 weeks) by following the extension procedure through our admin via WhatsApp.
  3. To help maintain the sustainability and availability of books in the Librario catalog, borrowers are required to leave a cash deposit of IDR 50,000, which will be returned upon the successful return of the book(s).

Book Returns

How to Return:
  1. Return the book to the Dropping Point - Spasso Cafe at the scheduled time.
  2. Confirm the return via WhatsApp.
Return Terms and Conditions:
  1. For minor damage, a fine of IDR 10,000 will be deducted from the deposit.
  2. For major damage or lost books, a fine equal to the price of the book will be deducted from the deposit.
  3. Late returns are subject to a fine of IDR 1,000 per day per book, also deducted from the deposit, with a maximum delay of 14 days. After that, Librario will consider the book lost and apply the fine as specified in point 2 above.
Types of Damage:
  1. Minor damage refers to the following, as long as it does not affect the book's content:
    1. Water damage and wrinkled pages
    2. Tears
    3. Burns
    4. Mold
    5. Stains
    6. Permanent markings or scribbles
    7. Folded pages
    8. Faded or smudged text
  2. Major damage refers to:
    1. Missing pages
    2. Extensive minor damage that renders more than 20% of the book unreadable
